Ripley hosts 81's Friday night

After a weekend off, the Ripley Wolves will be in action Friday night at home.

The Wolves will host the Palmerston 81’s, last season’s WOAA A champs, for an 8:30 p.m. start.

Palmerston (2-0) was also idle this weekend.

Ripley will be looking to get back in the win column after dropping its last two games to Saugeen Shores and Elora. The Wolves opened the season with wins over the Nottawasaga River Rats and the Elora Rocks.

Sunday afternoon the Wolves will travel to Drayton to take on the Icemen (1-2).

Weekend WOAA North Division action saw Saugeen Shores paste the Walkerton Capitals 10-2 Friday night in Walkerton and Elora hammer on Shallow Lake 15-0. The Capitals beat Nottawasaga 4-2 Saturday afternoon in the only other North match-up.

In the South it was Petrolia 9 Exeter 5, Tavistock 6-3 over Lucan, Clinton 5 Monkton 2, Exeter 8 Thedford 3, Tillsonburg 8 Monkton 3, Clinton 6 Milverton 2 and Tavistock 10 Goderich 4.
