Semi-finals begin tomorrow at Silver Stick

Kincardine is looking good heading into the third day of Silver Stick action.

The Tim-Br Mart bantams played Tavistock to a 1-1 draw earlier tonight at the Davidson Centre. After a scoreless first period, Shane Vollmer scored midway through the second period. The game remained 1-0 until the final minute of play, when Tavistock tied the game with less than 40 seconds to play.

The bantams are now 2-0 heading in a final preliminary game tomorrow against Walkerton (Thursday) morning at 10 a.m. Tavistock falls to 1-1, with an 11:20am game against Hanover on deck.

The Legion peewees defeated South Huron 4-1 tonight in Tiverton to finish the o[ening round at 2-1 and four points. It may be enough to get the peewees through to the semis, but nothing is assured until tomorrow morning's games are played. The Home Hardware novices also won today, 5-1 over Blenhiem to remain undefeated, and face Goderich at 9 a.m. tomorrow.

Semi-finals in all three divisions will begin tomorrow afternoon in Kincardine, Ripley and Tiverton. The finals for all six divisions will be played Thursday at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine. Watch this update for more information.
