LLOYD CLARK

Lloyd George Clark, of R.R. 4, Kincardine, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre- Kincardine on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, in his 80th year.

Beloved husband of Jessie (née Bell). Dear father of Marilyn Smith, of Guelph; Murray (Doris) Clark, of R.R.4 Kincardine; Barbara Clark, of Kincardine; Betty (Mike) Weinstein, of Fergus; and Joyce (Paul) Cotter, of Fergus.

Sadly missed by grandchildren: Brent and Shane Cotter, Erin and Graydon Clark, Alex and Dayle Smith, and Janet and Melanie Weinstein.

Loved brother of Lynn (Helen) Clark, of Chatham. Sadly missed by brother-in-law Allan (Peggy) Bell, of Durham; and sisters-in-law, Edith (Peter) Matthews, of Vancouver; and Wilma Bell, of Toronto.

Lloyd was the fourth generation Clark on the home farm on Highway 9 between Millarton and Bervie.  An active member of the agricultural community, Lloyd sat on various boards including the Bruce County Milk Committee, Junior Farmers and the Kincardine Agricultural Society.

Visitation took place at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008. The funeral service was held at the Kincardine United Church on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 with Rev. Don Harry officiating.

Flower bearers at the funeral service were granddaughters Erin Clark, Dayle Smith and Janet and Melanie Weinstein.   Honourary pallbearers were Alex Stewart, Loran Peter, Bob Rutledge and Allan Bell.  Pallbearers were Brent and Shane Cotter, Graydon Clark, Alex Smith, John Bell and Gerry Shipp.

Cremation followed the service, with interment at Kincardine Cemetery at a later date.

 GEORGE CROTHERS

George Wright Crothers, formerly of Edmonton, died at Tiverton Park Manor, on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, in his 76th year. 

Dear father of Michelle (Ken) Rowe, of Kincardine; and Terry Crothers, of the Northwest Territories. Loved grandfather of Matthew, Katelyn, Anthony, Jordon, Braydon, Cassandra, Sheyenne and Branden. 

Brother of Margaret (Keith) Crank, Moya Coupland, Cathy (David) Dohl and Irene (Rick) Malin. 

Predeceased by his brother Jim Crothers, and his brother-in-law Bill Coupland. 

Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, ON N2Z 1Z5 (519-396-2701) on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Dennis Cluley officiating.

SALLY DELANY    

Sally Delany (née Montgomery), of Kincardine, died peacefully at her residence, on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, in her 64th year. 

Beloved wife of Denis Delany.  Dear mother of Nicole Delany (Farzain Malbari).  Loved sister of  Donny (Marlene) Montgomery, of Victoria County, Cape Breton Island; and Hilda (Jackie) Kendall, of Badeck, Cape Breton Island.  Sadly missed by her sisters-in-law: Jean Gibson, of Surrey, B.C.; and Margaret (Tom) Pierson, of Summerland, B.C.; and her brothers-in-law: Terence (Anna-Lee) Delany, of Ashcroft, B.C.; and Rory Delany, of Victoria, B.C.  Predeceased by her parents, Murdock and Sarah (Buchanan) Montgomery; and her brother-in-law, Sam Gibson.  Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, ON N2Z 1Z5 (519-396-2701) on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 749 Russell Street, Kincardine, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, with Rev. Fr. Anthony Anh officiating.   

Serving as pallbearers were: Farzain Malbari, Robert Scott, Jeff Scott, Don Geddes, Darren Geddes and Ken Collins.  Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation were appreciated as expressions of sympathy. JUNE FEDKO

June Elizabeth Fedko (née Lynas), of Kincardine and formerly of Toronto, died at Trillium Court on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, in her 81st year. 

Beloved wife of the late Andrew Fedko. Dear mother of Andrew and his wife Betty, of Kincardine. Cherished grandmother of Sarah and Lisa, both of Toronto, and loved sister of Joan (Niels) Sorensen, of Denmark. 

Predeceased by her infant twin sister Joan. 

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, ON N2Z 1Z5, 519-396-2701, on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating. 

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

 JAMES LAWRENCE

 James Frederick (Jim) Lawrence, of Kincardine, passed away on Oct. 22, 2008, in his 80th year.

Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Eileen; and daughters Ruth and Deborah, of Cambridge.

Also survived by six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and his brother Wes.

The funeral was held in Cambridge on Oct. 25, 2008.

JOYCE LEITHEAD

Joyce Leithead passed away on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 with family at her side, at the age of 84.

Dearest wife and best friend of Danny for 66 years.

Joyce was born in Kincardine on April 19, 1924, where she met and married Danny on Sept. 19, 1942.  Joyce lived most of her life in Oldcastle, until a recent move to Iler Lodge in Essex.

Loving mom to Dana (Sagar Giofu, 2002), Pete and Peggy Leithead, Cheryl and Dan Skilton, Laurie Anne (Dec. 21, 1966). Dear Grandma to Lee-Anne (Wayne Curtis), Tara Leithead, Steve Giofu, Jennifer (Cody Heath), Danny Leithead (2001), Jackie Lariviere, Devon (Adam Sokoloski); and great grandma to Kevin and Eric Curtis, Taylor and Jacob Heath, Alexis Lariviere and Lucan Sokoloski.

Joyce is predeceased by her parents Tressa and Dan Fyke; and brothers Don and Bill.

She will be remembered by her brother Lloyd (Joyce Fyke) and sister-in-law Velda Thompson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting was held at the Reid Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 87 Maidstone Avenue East, Essex (519-776-4233) on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Joyce's life was held from the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Jane Fletcher officiating.

Visitation was also held at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008  from 7-9 pm where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating.  Interment Kincardine Cemetery.
