Wolves beat Elora

Nick Locking scored four times to help the Ripley Wolves dump the Elora Rocks Friday night in Elora.

 

The Rocks will have a chance for revenge Friday night in Ripley when the teams play their second game of a home-and-home series within the WOAA South Division.

 

It is Ripley's only game this weekend.

 

Kyle Boulton scored twice and added three assists, Darrin MacDonald had a goal and three assists, while Brock Lowry and Mike Burgess each scored once in the win.

 

Russ O'Handley and Chad Colling each had an assist in the game.

 

The Wolves are now 2-0, and have scored 18 times in just two contests.

 

Jason Reid picked up the win in goal for the Wolves, his second of the year.

 

In other WOAA action, the Lucknow Lancers were defeated 8-7 by the Shallow Lake Crushers Friday night.

Saturday night in Shelburne, the Muskies doubled up the Walkerton Capitals 6-3,  while the Palmerston 81s beat the Drayton Icemen 9-5. In the north, it was Lucan 11-3 over Goderich, and Petrolia 4-3 over Monkton in a shootout.
