DONALD ARSCOTT

Donald Petherbridge Arscott, of Kincardine, passed away peacefully at Trillium Court, Kincardine on Sunday, July 24, 2011, in his 92nd year.

Beloved husband of the late Margaret Arscott (née Reid). Dear father of David (Susanna) Arscott, of Austin, Texas; Patricia (Dr. Stephen) Brown, of Chesley; and Donald W. (Marilyn) Arscott, of Kincardine.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren: Jonathan, Jennifer, Robert, Emily E., Charlie, Woodie, Andrew, Emily M., TED, Michael, Cindy, Andrew, Daniel and Rebecca; and by his great-grandchildren: Laura, Jessica, Shannon, Gregory, Cameron, Keegan, William, Margot and Henry Jack.

Sadly missed by his sister-in-law Barb Densmore, of Orangeville.

Predeceased by his daughter Peggy Arscott; his brother William "Bill" (Jeanne) Arscott, and brothers-in-law: Andrew (Mig) Reid, Bill (Dorothy) Reid and Adam Densmore.

Visitation was held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine N2Z 1Z5 (519-396-2701) on Friday, July 29, 2011. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. at the Anglican Church of the Messiah, 421 Russell Street, Kincardine, on Saturday, July 30, 2011, with Rev. Canon Michael Farr officiating.

JEAN COLLINS

Jean Collins (née Durward), of Tiverton, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Kincardine on Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, in her 87th year.

 

Dear mother of Ken Collins, of R.R. #5, Kincardine. Loving grandmother of Jennifer (Steve) Beisel, Jamie MacKenzie, Keira (Bill) Georgiopoulos and Kert Collins. Cherished great grandmother of MacKenzie, Kwade and Nyah Beisel; and Xander and Ysabel Georgiopoulos.

 

Also survived by her son-in-law Glenn MacKenzie, of Tiverton.

 

Predeceased by her husband Jack Collins, daughter Barb MacKenzie, daughter-in-law Sharon Collins, grandson Kent Collins, brothers Donald and Bob Durward and sister-in-law Pauline Durward.

 

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Sanctuary Park Cemetery in Port Elgin on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, with Rev. Jeanette Fleischer officiating.

EDGAR COOPER

 

Edgar Donaldson "Ed" Cooper, of R.R. #2, Kincardine, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, in his 76th year. 

 

Beloved husband of Marlene (née Hayes). 

 

Dear father of Val Cooper, of Wasaga Beach; Gary (Maryann) Cooper, and Eddie (Sheri) Cooper, all of Collingwood; Allie-Jo Cooper, of Brantford; and Thora (Kam) Ebben, of Kincardine. Lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. 

 

Sadly missed by his sisters: Ruby Childs, of Manitoba; and Maragaret McGinnes, of British Columbia. Also survived by his mother-in-law, Allie Hayes (née Hewitt). 

 

Predeceased by his daughter Debbie, brother George Cooper, great grandchildren Julian and Joseph (both in infancy), brothers-in-law Doug McGinnes and Stan Childs as well as his father-in-law Charlie Hayes. 

 

Visitation will be held at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine on Friday, Aug. 12, 2011 from 12 noon until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m.

BRIAN HEALEY

Brian Edward Healey, of Kincardine, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Monday, Aug. 2, 2011, in his 67th year. 

 

Beloved husband of Beth Healey (née Thomas). 

 

Dear father of Donna Healey (Manny Levesque), of Kincardine; Robin Healey, of British Columbia; and Diana (Robert) Johnson, of Cobourg. Sadly missed by his grandchildren: Kerri (Daniel) Flynn, Skye Fraser, Rowan Healey and Cassidy, Michael and Rebecca Johnson. 

 

Also survived by his mother-in-law Mary Thomas, of Victoria, B.C.; his sister-in-law Ann Healey of Adelaide, Australia; and Sheila Maxwell, Leonard and Arthur Thomas and their families. 

 

Predeceased by his parents George and Freda (née Lowe) Healey, his brother David Healey and his father-in-law Leonard Thomas.

 

A memorial service was held at the Kincardine United Church at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, 2011 with Rev. Dr. Lark Kim officiating.

MARIAN JACKSON

Marian Jackson passed away in Coburg Hospital on July 10, 2011.

 

She was born on Sept. 16, 1922, near Staffa.

 

Beloved wife of the late Frank Jackson.

 

Loving mother of Frank and his wife Nancy, Margaret and her husband Derrick Gaudet, and Mary and her husband Stephen Soenen, all of Coburg. Dear grandmother of Nikki, Miranda, Amber, JT and Jesse. Great grandmother of Austin, Heston and Mason.

 

Also survived by brothers and sisters: Alvin (Jean) Kerslake, of London; Marjorie Smith; Pearl (Don Deacon), of B.C.; Bill (Freda) Kerslake, of Seaforth; Shirley (Don Garland), of Hanover; Donald (Brenda) Kerslake, of Saskatchewan, as well as sister-in-law June Kerslake, of Greenock Township.

 

Predeceased by her parents, George and Lawrie Kerslake, former residents of Greenock Township; brother-in-law Herb Smith; grandson Scott Jackson; and brother Keith Kerslake.

 

Marian graduated from Business College in Toronto then worked in Coburg until her retirement.

A memorial service was held for her on July 17, 2011 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Coburg.

 

Interment Heritage Cemetery of St. Peter, Coburg.

 

ALICE RAE

Alice Marie (MacLeod) Rae died peacefully at her home in Southgate Township, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, in her 66th year.

 

Beloved wife of Ormand Rae.

 

Loved mother of Wanda Rae, of Barrie; Norma Jean Feletto and her husband Mike, of Mount Forest; Leonard Rae and friend Kim, of Mount Forest; and Lloyd Rae and his wife Sarah, of Mount Forest. Loving grandmother of Joshua, Mitchell, Ashley, Marissa and Emily.

 

Daughter of Dorothea MacLeod and the late Johnson MacLeod.

 

Sister of David MacLeod and his wife Arlene; Betty Ricchio, Donald MacLeod and his wife Nicole; Doug MacLeod and his wife Shirley; Ken MacLeod and his wife Donna; and Carolyn Grice.

 

Alice will be sadly missed by the Rae family, her many nieces and nephews and their families, and also by her many friends.

 

Predeceased by her sister Jean Carson.

 

A memorial service was held at the Pentecostal Church, Mount Forest on July 23, 2011.
