The KDSS Kinetic Knights robotics team received a world championship finalist trophy and placed second in the world at the World Robotics Championships.

The Kincardine high school students competed in St. Louis, Missouri last week, facing off against 351 teams from around the world, including NASA-sponsored teams. The Knights faced off against three teams in the semifinals, but lost control of their robot, and were defeated, landing in second place. In total, the Kinetic Knights received 10 awards, including four finalist and championship trophies, at competitions in Waterloo, Toronto, Ohio and Missouri.

The team extends a thank you to Bruce Power and the Power Worker’s Union for its donations to make the trip to the championships possible.
