Jim Cooper, of Hanover and formerly of Kincardine, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at the age of 61.


Survived by his wife Carol, son Bob, and daughter Christine; as well as by two grandchildren.


Also survived by his mother Irene Cooper; sisters Marj Buehlow, Aileen Morris, Carolyn Leask, Donna Bester and Debbie Cooper.


The funeral was held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 in Hanover.


Jim will be sadly missed by both the Cooper and Messerschmidt families.




Maurice Allard Joseph Girard, of Kincardine and formerly of Cochrane, died at the London Health Sciences Centre-University Hospital on Sunday, March 27, 2011, in his 84th year. 


Husband of the late Jessie (née Dupuis). 


Dear father of Denis (Kate) Girard, of Ottawa; Michel (Karen) Girard, of St. Jean Chrysostone, Quebec; and Fran (Ron) Boulton, of Kincardine. Sadly missed by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. 


Lovingly remembered by a brother Florian (Olive) Girard, of Sudbury


Visitation will be held at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 7 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m.

Kenneth Leroy Petrie, of Kincardine, died at the London Health Science Centre - Victoria Hospital, on Friday, March 25, 2011, in his 82nd year. 


Beloved husband of the late Marie Petrie (née Raithby). 


Dear father of Rev. Kathy Petrie, of Prescott; Virginia (Jeff) McManus, of Orillia; and Faye (Mike) Williams, of Toronto. Loving grandfather of Daniel, Steven and Shawn McManus; and Liam and Ella Marie Williams.


Loved brother of Marina Park, of Goderich. Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his infant daughter Margo, his brother Allan Petrie, and his brother-in-law John Park. 


Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Kincardine Baptist Church, 569 Queen Street, Kincardine on Thursday, March 31, 2011, with Pastor Kenneth Craig officiating.
