Knights sweep at home

The Kincardine District Secondary School boys volleyball program is undefeated after one week of play in the Bluewater Athletic Association (BAA) regular season.

Both the junior and senior Knights picked up a pair of wins as KDSS hosted Walkerton District Secondary School and Saugeen District Secondary School for matches Thursday afternoon.

The seniors opened the day with an easy 25-12, 25-7 win over the WDSS Raiders.

The Raiders then downed SDSS 21-25, 25-22, 15-12 in an extremely close match.

However, the Knights then cruised to a 25-15, 25-17 win over the Royals in the final match of the day.

In junior action, KDSS defeated WDSS 25-20, 25-23 and SDSS 25-16, 25-23.

The other junior game saw SDSS edge out Walkerton 25-16, 16-25, 15-10.

Yesterday, SDSS and Chesley District High School were in Walkerton to play matches at Sacred Heart High School. Next Tuesday, the Knights will travel to WDSS for matches with Chesley and Walkerton. Kincardine will host three more regular season games later this month.
