Tillie (née Horpynuik) Laschuk, of Kincardine and formerly of Smooth Rock Falls, died at Trillium Court, on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, in her 98th year. 

Beloved wife of the late Louis Laschuk. 

Dear mother of Stella Drolet (Jack Muszynski), of Kincardine; Daisy (Terry) Burnett, of Mississauga; and James (Sally) Laschuk, of Kincardine. Loved "Baba" of Danny (Richard), Adele (Ron), Norman (Lyne), Steven (Nicole), Greg (Sharon), Dennis (Lisa Windover), and Julie (Steve Moschenross); and "great-baba" of Christine (Mark), Marc, Isabelle, Nicolas, Michael, Bryan and Danielle. 

Predeceased by her son-in-law Armand Drolet, her brother Harry (Annie) Horpynuik, and her sister Helen (Harry) Holub. 

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Fr. Don Wilhelm officiating. 

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

MARILYN McKAY                   

Marilyn McKay, of Kincardine and formerly of Toronto, died at South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, in her 69th year, after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Beloved wife of Jack McKay.  Dear mother of Robert McKay, of Kincardine; and Katherine McKay (Ron McReavy), of Toronto.  Loving grandmother of Cameron, Ian and Colin McReavy. 

Sadly missed by brothers Charlie (Linda) Hodge, of Kingston; Bruce (Margaret) Hodge, of Orangeville; as well as sisters Gwen (George) Brown, of Brockville; June Douglas , and Yvonne (Gary) Garrison, all of Kingston.  Predeceased by her parents Fred and Mildred Hodge; a sister Shirley Hodge; and a brother-in-law Tommy Douglas. 

Visitation will be held at Armour Heights Presbyterian Church, 105 Wilson Ave., Toronto, ON M5M 2Z9 on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Bill Middleton officiating.

Shirley L. Ross (Woods), beloved wife of Alex Ross, of Point Clark passed away suddenly at GBHC, Owen Sound, on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at the age of 80. 

A woman much loved, she was born in East Garafraxa Township on Dec. 29, 1927 to the late Viola (Johnson) and Leyton Woods.  After graduating high school, Shirley moved to Toronto for work.  She married Alex on Sept. 10, 1949 in Belwood, and in 1951 they began a successful farming operation in the Listowel area. 

Shirley loved watching and coaching the Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs.  Her unconditional love and friendship was truly felt by family and friends.  Shirley’s sense of humour will be missed. 

She is survived by daughter Janice Ross and son Stephen (Lynn) Ross, both of Calgary, Alberta. Also greatly missed by four grandchildren; Victoria Ross, Danny Doherty, Hayley Ross and Jack Ross; brothers Russel and Murray Woods and sister-in-law Betty Woods. 

Predeceased by daughter Barbara Ross, brother Johnson Woods, sisters-in-law Ruby and Emily Woods, and brother-in-law Cecil Beatty. 

A celebration of life will be held from the Point Clark Community Centre on Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 from 2-4 p.m.  Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Grey-Bruce greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
