LeeAnn Marie Dennis died surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 57. 


Beloved wife of the late Gordon Dennis (May 10, 2009). 


Dear mother of Danielle Richer (Ronald) and Jennifer Dennis (Frank), all of Guelph, and loving Nan of Ethan and Mackenzie Richer. 


Also survived by her siblings Peter (Gabriele) Palubiski and David (Winnie) Palubiski, as well as by many nieces and nephews, and her mother-in-law Gwen Dennis.


Visitation was held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Rockwood Chapel, 117 Guelph St., Rockwood, on Thursday, May 20, 2010. A Celebration of Life was held at the Rockwood United Church, 199 Harris St., Rockwood, at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010

Alvin Filsinger, formerly of Ayton, passed away at the Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the age of 85 years.


Dear father of Andrew Filsinger of Ayton, Ruth Shane and Les of Kincardine, Susan Chapman and Wayne of Neustadt and Paul Filsinger of Ayton. Also survived by two daughters-in-law, Marlene and Debbie; 13 grandchildren, Billy, Andy, Carrie, Jenny, Curtis, Kristen, Heidi, Jesse, Joshua, Antony, Trevor, Nicholas and Brandon; several great grandchildren;  two brothers, Bill Filsinger and Lillian of Burlington and Doug Filsinger and Hilda of Listowel; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Filsinger of Waterdown.


Predeceased by his first wife, June Young; his second wife; Ruth McCallum; brother, Otto Filsinger; and sister, Dorothy Walker.


Alvin was a pioneer in organic farming and operated Filsinger Organic Foods of Ayton for many years.


Friends were received at the Garrett Funeral Chapel in Neustadt where funeral services were held on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment United Church Cemetery, Ayton. Reverend Heather Leffler officiated.


The pallbearers were Alvin's grandsons: Billy Filsinger, Andy Filsinger, Joshua Chapman, Antony Filsinger, Trevor Filsinger, Nicholas Filsinger, Curtis Shane and Brandon Filsinger.


His granddaughters were the flower bearers: Kristen Shane, Jenny PauPreto, Heidi Smith and Carrie Bannister.



Ewen MacGregor, of Kincardine, died at the Halton Health Care Services - Milton, on Saturday, May 15, 2010, in his 67th year. 

Beloved husband of Judy MacGregor (née Burley). 

Dear father of Angela and Randy Waples, of Milton. Loved grandfather of Abigail. 

Cherished son of Alison MacDougall, of Kincardine; and brother of Mac and Mary Jane MacDougall, of London; and Edith and Jim McMyler, of Waterloo

Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Jean Burley, of Kincardine, and the extended Burley family. 


Predeceased by his father Murray MacGregor; and father-in-law, Alonzo Burley. 

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, ON N2Z 1Z5 (519-396-2701) on Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m., with Rev. Eric Watson officiating.

Edna Mae Ellen Moore (née DeGroat) of Kincardine died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine, on Thursday, May 20, 2010 in her 89th year.


She was the beloved wife of the late Wesley Moore and the dear mother of Rose Soberquist of Alberta, Gord Moore of Strathroy, John and his wife Doris Moore of Fordwich, Ron Moore of Strathroy, Ellen and her husband Terry Weber of Kincardine, Mary Story of Sarnia, Joe Moore of Kincardine and  Debbie and her husband Jack Bedard of Kincardine.  Special friend of Richard Storey.


She will be sadly missed by 24 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a great-great-grand-daughter.


Survived by her daughter-in-law Shirley Moore of Strathroy. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.


Predeceased by a son Michael Moore and her brothers and sisters.


Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine on Saturday, May 22, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sharon Lohnes officiating.


Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jeff Moore, Larry Moore, Doug Moore, Luke Bedard, Chris Moore and Terry Weber Jr.


Interment, Strathroy Cemetery.

Steven Anthony Rauket of Kincardine died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Thursday, May 20, 2010 in his 62nd year.


He was the beloved husband of Brigitte (née Hummer) and dear father of Alex Rauket (Jenn MacKay) of Deep River.


A Life-long lover of music, literature and philosophy, Steven left a memorable mark on all those whom he shared his life, love and humour.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will surely be carried by those he touched.


A "Come and Go Celebration of Life" was held at Books & Beans, Kincardine with Steven's family on Sunday, May 23, 7-10 p.m. Visitation was at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, ON  N2Z 1Z5, 519-396-2701, on Monday, May 24,  from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Chrystal Morais officiating.


Interment, Kincardine Cemetery.
