Last night, the season ended for the Kincardine Bulldogs.

But it may have really ended on Tuesday night after having the Hawks on the ropes in Game 6. Kincardine fell behind 3-0 less than three minutes into this game, and Walkerton never looked back.

The Hawks cruised to an 8-2 win in front of a packed house at the Walkerton Community Centre.

"I thought Game 6, until the end, was our best game of the series," said head coach Brian Royle after the game. "(Tonight was) a disappointing way to end a close series, but we just didn't show up."

Haden Campbell and Cole McDougall scored for the 'Dogs.

Matt Rostek had a pair of goals for the Hawks, including two of the first three goals of the game. Steve Collins, Adam Alexander, Tanner Shlakat, Mitch Allen, Rob Brennan and Greg Wardell scored for Walkerton, who led 5-1 after the first.

Walkerton will now play the Hanover Barons for the Western Junior C League championship.
