Splitting start for Knights

The Kincardine District Secondary School senior boys volleyball team opened the season at home last Tuesday with a split.

The Knights swept Walkerton District Community School 2-0, though both games were extremely tight. KDSS edged out the Riverhawks 25-23 and 25-22.

Merla Palmer of Kincardine passed away at Trillium Court on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, in her 91st year.


Beloved wife of the late Donald Palmer, who predeceased her in 1977.


Predeceased by her parents William and Cornelia Sproule, and her brother Carman Sproule and his wife Edna.


A graveside service to celebrate Merla’s life was held at the Kincardine Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, with Reverend Vicki Johnson officiating.
